The National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR) has successfully completed over 25 years of its existence. Over the years, Projects Based Industrial Activity has evolved considerably with the advent of new technologies and practices. There has been a conscious effort on the part of NICMAR to adapt to these changes by introducing novel methods of learning to meet the requirements of the industry. Through what we believe is unique programme, NICMAR has taken the initiative to cater to the long felt need of professional human resources across a wide range of sectors such as construction, infrastructure, real estate, manufacturing industry, oil and gas exploration, telecommunication services, power, airports, ports and highways. The institute presently offers the following two year full time post graduate programme from the Pune campus, PGP ACM, PGP PEM, PEP REUIM and PGP IFDM. The PGP IFDM programme has been started from the current year and the first batch of the programme will pass out in 2013.
It is my privilege to present the class of 2012, which I strongly believe is nurtured, trained and competent to take up challenges faced by industry. The institute draws the best talent across the country. The batch comprises of 195 students from the Advanced Construction Management (ACM), 105 students from Project Engineering Management (PEM) and 47 students from Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure Management (REUIM).
The Advanced Construction Management programme (ACM) is NICMAR’s flagship course, designed to take the best talent from the civil, mechanical and architecture stream and turn them into the industry leader of the future as construction management professional. The Project Engineering and Management (PEM) stream is a pioneering course offered by NICMAR to fulfil the specific need felt by the industry to have more project management professionals on a massive scale.
The Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure Management (REUIM) builds upon the concepts and methodology of management, engineering, architecture, law, information technology, urban economics, behavioural sciences and combines theory with practice.
