Dr Kashyap was recognised as distinguished Alumni of NIT Kurukshetra, Member of FICCI National Executive Committee on Education, Chairman Nominee of Internal Monitoring cum Advisory Committee (IMAC) for Centre of Excellence in Urban Planning and Design (CoEUD) at SPA Delhi, Chairman of Governing Body of NICMAR University, Pune, Member of Governing Body, Board of Management and Academic Council of NICMAR University of Construction Studies, Hyderabad.

Dr Kashyap has strong research interest spanning from energy efficiency in built form, healthy and smart cities, urban regeneration and infrastructure development and financing. He has key strengths in strategic urban policy making, innovative development management and funding mechanisms through his international experience. He has been involved in wide range of research projects funded by research councils, charities and international institutions. He has been a member at RICS, London; RTPI, London; HEA, UK and ITPI, India. He has several publications in renowned journals, and book chapters.

Dr. Kashyap previously held leadership roles at prestigious institutions such as UWE Bristol, Coventry University, and Ulster University. His vision for NICMAR is to establish it as a nationally and internationally recognized institution, preparing industry-ready graduates through specialized education programs.
