The first semester focuses on the basic and fundamental concepts of sustainable energy management, such as energy overview, reforms, economics, hydrocarbon and alternative energy projects, natural and energy resources and many more. It will lay a significant foundation for the students on their path to master in the field of energy management.
The second semester focuses on providing an advanced level of knowledge in core areas such as financial and management accounting, environmental management, energy performance monitoring laboratory, statistics and data analytics for energy projects, energy audit and conservation, advanced power and renewable energy systems, management of energy projects, managerial communications, MOOC course, and summer internship.
The third semester provides advanced domain-specific knowledge through a vast pool of electives and core areas, which include research methodology and project seminar, 2 program electives, 2 domain electives and 3 general electives.
The fourth semester courses focus on making students practically experience the industry while executing the learnt concepts through project work, 3 program electives and 3 domain electives.

It was not that long when Prof. Vishnu Namboodiri V joined NICMAR University, Hyderabad, and he is currently leading the MBA in Sustainability Energy Management program. He is a dynamic professional who has over 4 years of industry experience. With an M.Tech in Energy Systems Analysis, Prof. Vishnu is pursuing a Ph.D. in Renewable Energy from IIT Delhi. He has pursued Design from Government Engineering College, Kerala and has done B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from SCAD CET (Anna University, Chennai).
Prof. Vishnu has significantly contributed to Materials for Energy Applications through numerous publications in international journals. His area of research interest is related to energy systems and their optimization for building environments.
