About the dean
Dr. R. Sathish Kumar
With over 34 years of experience in academics and construction industry, Dr. R. Sathish Kumar obtained his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala. He also holds a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from IIT Madras, and a Ph.D in Civil Engineering from JNTU, Hyderabad. His research involvement includes many projects sponsored by DST, Ministry of Science and Technology, GOI. He has also worked in the construction industry, with specializations in the construction of rigs in the Oil & Gas industry. He is a three-time recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award by NICMAR for the years 2013, 2017 and 2019, along with a Research Excellence award for the year 2019.
