The IQAC Cell is committed to aligning the curriculum and student experience with the objectives of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Government of India. We are continuously enhancing our quality processes by organizing workshops on innovative pedagogy and assessment methods to support our highly qualified faculty in achieving programme outcomes. In addition, training programmes are also conducted for support staff to ensure that university processes function efficiently, thereby providing students with an enriching and holistic learning experience.

IQAC plays a pivotal role in steering the University’s initiatives, driving academic excellence and fostering robust internal governance.

IQAC is the University’s quality engine, dedicated to advancing education, research, and institutional performance. It actively promotes a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and accountability across all academic and administrative processes.

For over four decades, NICMAR has remained committed to serving the Construction, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Project Management (CRIP) sector. The establishment of NICMAR University of Construction Studies, Hyderabad has further strengthened this commitment, reaffirming our resolve to support the CRIP sector with renewed vigour. In addition to its core strengths, the University is diversifying into allied domains such as planning, energy, and architecture, ensuring that the legacy of NICMAR is carried forward through the adoption of rigorous quality assurance processes.

The IQAC is deeply committed to aligning the curriculum and overall student experience with the objectives of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 of the Government of India. Through the organization of workshops on innovative pedagogy and modern assessment practices, the IQAC empowers faculty to achieve desired programme outcomes. At the same time, training programmes for support staff are regularly conducted to ensure smooth institutional processes, thereby enhancing the overall student journey.

1. Staff Development Programme – Fostering Personal and Professional Excellence

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of NICMAR University of Construction Studies, Hyderabad organized a three-day Staff Development Programme from 4–6 March 2026. The programme featured insightful sessions by Prof. (Dr.) Shrikant Charhate, Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Venkatesan Renganaidu, Interim Dean – IQAC, Dr. Rishabh Rathore, Assistant Professor, and Mr. Narayan Rao K, CHRO, KMV Projects Ltd. Topics included leadership, teamwork and conflict management, MS Excel training, and interpersonal effectiveness. The sessions were highly interactive, with active participation from faculty and staff. The programme strengthened professional competencies and reinforced the University’s commitment to quality enhancement. It concluded with a valedictory session and certificate distribution.

2. Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Applications of AI/ML in Construction and Project Management

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of NICMAR University of Construction Studies, Hyderabad organized organized a 5-day Faculty Development Program on Applications of AI/ML in Construction and Project Management from 09–13 February 2026, organized by IQAC. The program was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Shrikant Charhate, Vice Chancellor, emphasizing the growing role of AI/ML in construction. Convened by Dr. Venkatesan Renganaidu, the FDP featured expert sessions by Dr. Surendranath (IIT Hyderabad), Dr. Nivea Thomas (NIT Warangal), and Dr. Sandeep IJS (Cube Highways) on AI/ML fundamentals, infrastructure management, and digital twins.
Further sessions by Prof. Vishu Namboori, Mr. Sunny Mahajan (BLDX), and Mr. Rajesh Uba (Finitepath) focused on HSE applications, AI-driven decision-making, and cost estimation. Dr. Vasan Arunachalam, Mr. Deepjyoti Deb, and Dr. K. Srinivasa Raju (BITS Hyderabad) delivered insights on disaster-resilient infrastructure, while Dr. Aaditya Bhamidipati highlighted smart city applications. The program combined expert lectures, case studies, and hands-on learning, and was well appreciated by participants. It concluded with certificate distribution, encouraging continued professional development.

3. Workshop on NAAC Preparedness, CO–PO Mapping, and IDP

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized a workshop for Deans, Heads of Departments, and faculty members, focusing on NAAC preparedness, outcome-based education, and institutional development planning.
The sessions were led by Dr. Abudhahir A., Director – IQAC, BSAR University, Chennai, who provided valuable insights into the NAAC accreditation process and leadership in quality assurance.
The morning session, attended by the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Deans, and Heads of Departments, focused on leadership roles, responsibilities, and the effective functioning of NAAC committees in strengthening institutional quality processes.
The afternoon session, conducted for all faculty members, emphasized detailed interpretation of NAAC criteria and documentation standards, highlighting the importance of structured data templates for systematic and efficient reporting.

4. New Faculty Orientation Programme

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized a New Faculty Orientation Programme on 13 August 2025 to familiarize newly recruited faculty members with the University’s academic practices, policies, and quality initiatives.
The programme began with a welcome and introductory address by Dr. Indrasen Singh, Vice Chancellor(i/c), who highlighted the University’s vision and the vital role of faculty in achieving academic excellence.
Expert sessions were conducted by senior faculty and officials covering key areas such as academics and examinations, research and consultancy, administration, executive education, and HR policies. The sessions were delivered by:

•  Dr. R. Sathish Kumar & Dr. S. V. S. Raja Prasad – Academics & Examinations
•  Dr. Arun Chandramohan – Research & Consultancy
•  Mr. T. V. Rama Krishna – Administration
•  Dr. Sarbesh Mishra – Executive Education
•  Ms. Fareetha Farzana S – HR Policy

The programme provided valuable insights into teaching–learning practices, institutional processes, and quality standards. All newly joined faculty members actively participated, making the programme interactive and effective.
The orientation was successfully conducted by IQAC, ensuring that faculty members are well-prepared to contribute to the University’s academic and quality enhancement initiatives.
