Role Summary
Executive – Maintenance (Electrical) is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted power supply
and smooth operation of campus utility systems. The role includes managing HT/LT electrical
infrastructure, DG sets, UPS, fire alarms, solar systems, pumps, and elevators. The
candidate
will lead a team, ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance, maintain compliance with
statutory norms, and coordinate with external agencies while driving energy-saving and
automation initiatives.

Experience: 5–8 years in Institutional / Industrial Facilities Management
Reporting To: Manager – Maintenance
Technical & Soft Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of 22 kV HT power transmission systems, transformers, HT panels, and
switchgears.
- Hands-on experience in LT power distribution panels, electrical relay logic, and control
systems.

Operation & Maintenance of utilities including:
DG sets (500 kVA), UPS (150 kVA), fire alarm & detection systems, solar power systems,
water pumps, elevators, motors, VFDs, and related equipment.
- Good understanding of Indian Electricity Rules and electrical compliance norms.
- Knowledge of HVAC and BMS systems (preferred).
- Ability to supervise and lead a team of 20 technicians independently.
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP for documentation and reporting.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure uninterrupted electrical power distribution and lighting across the campus.
- Manage operation and maintenance of DG sets, UPS systems, and electrical infrastructure.
- Coordinate with MSEDCL for planned shutdowns, changeovers, and maintenance of incoming
cables and switchgears.
- Ensure execution of annual electrical inspections and compliance with statutory
requirements.
- Monitor buildings and equipment to ensure proper functioning of utility systems and
preventive maintenance adherence.
- Conduct planned, preventive, and emergency maintenance for electrical and utility
systems.
- Maintain accurate records of power consumption, complaint logs, and maintenance history.
- Identify and implement automation improvements and energy-saving initiatives.
- Coordinate with AMC vendors and external service agencies for maintenance effectiveness.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with safety standards and statutory guidelines.
- Initiate purchase requisitions and coordinate with Purchase and Accounts departments.
Key Result Areas (KRA) & Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
Power Distribution, System Uptime & Electrical Maintenance
- Ensure ≥ 99% uninterrupted power supply across campus.
- Zero critical outages from avoidable causes.
- HT/LT panels, DG sets, UPS and utility systems PM adherence ≥ 95%.
- Maintain DG & UPS availability ≥ 98% with <10% annual breakdown reduction.
Statutory Compliance, Electrical Safety & Risk Control
- 100% compliance with Indian Electricity Rules and internal safety norms.
- Zero safety incidents; full adherence to LOTO and safety protocols.
- Annual statutory inspections completed before due date with zero non-compliance remarks.
Coordination with MSEDCL & External Stakeholders
- Timely handling of shutdowns, changeovers, load management, and scheduled maintenance.
- All communication, permits, and documentation completed within timelines.
- Zero deviation from approved shutdown schedules.
Energy Management, Reporting & Automation Enhancements
- Implement 2–3 energy-saving initiatives annually with measurable improvement.
- Accurate daily power reporting; timely updates of complaint logs and SAP entries.
- Execute automation and efficiency enhancements as planned.
Vendor Management, Inventory Control & Team Supervision
- AMC compliance ≥ 95%; vendor tasks completed within SLA with no pending issues.
- PR/PO processed within timelines; zero delays due to material unavailability.
- Effective supervision of maintenance staff; conduct minimum 2 trainings per year.
