Her academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (2003) and an M.E. in Construction Management (1993), both from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, as well as a B.E. in Civil Engineering (1987) from the prestigious Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur.

Prior to her appointment at NICMAR University, Dr. Kulkarni served as the Principal/Director of RIT Rajaramnagar Maharashtra for over 16 years, transforming the institute into an autonomous institution of distinction.
