SC/ST Cell
Brief Introduction:
The SC/ST Cell at NICMAR University, Pune is a dedicated body established to promote the welfare and academic success of students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). The cell aims to create an inclusive and supportive environment by addressing the unique challenges faced by SC/ST students, ensuring equal opportunities, and fostering their overall development.
Functions:
The SC/ST Cell undertakes the following key functions:
- Skill and Personality Development: Organizes programs like Personality Development and Skill Workshops to enhance employability and confidence.
- Career Guidance: Provides career counselling and mentorship to assist students in making informed career choices.
- Awareness and Inclusivity: Conducts events such as Guest Sessions on Equal Opportunity Programs and celebrations like Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti to promote social justice and inclusivity.
- Communication: Maintains a dedicated group email ID for streamlined interaction between the cell, students, and faculty.
- Grievance Redressal: Serves as a platform for addressing concerns and grievances of SC/ST students, ensuring a supportive campus environment.
