In her new role, she will be responsible for developing and shaping Strategic Plans and fostering external partnerships across the NICMAR Universities and support in providing strategic leadership.

Dr. Poonam Kashyap brings with her a wealth of experience from the United Kingdom, with over 20 years of industry, academia, and research expertise. She holds an MBA from Ulster Business School and a PhD in Energy Management from Ulster University. Her research and professional practice have centered around construction procurement, sustainable development, and economic appraisal.

Successful Management of Research Projects and Evaluation of Business Cases

Throughout her career, Dr. Kashyap has successfully managed research projects for Constructing Excellence in Northern Ireland (CEni) and has contributed to multiple research projects funded by the central government, charities, and non-governmental research organizations in England. Her expertise in evaluating business cases and ensuring value for money will be instrumental in guiding NICMAR's strategic decisions.

Contributions to Higher Education and Project-Based Learning

In addition to her research accomplishments, Dr. Poonam Kashyap has made significant contributions to higher education. She has lectured at esteemed institutions such as Queens University Belfast, Coventry University Business School, Warwick University, and the University of the West of England. Her commitment to project-based learning and her leadership in organizing Project Week for undergraduate engineering students have been widely recognized.
