Nurturing Ideas and Shaping the Built Environment of Tomorrow!!

July 2025, Volume 3, No. 7

NICMAR University, Pune is committed to nurturing capable professionals through innovative, practical, and research-led education. This philosophy has consistently empowered our students and alumni to excel across diverse sectors. We take immense pride in their achievements, which reflect the strength of our academic and industry-oriented ecosystem.

The Career Services, International Affairs, and Alumni Relations (CSIAAR) Department plays a pivotal role in this journey. It not only guides students in their career paths but also builds strong collaborations with industry partners, both domestic and international. These associations open doors for placements, joint research, Management Development Programmes (MDPs), faculty internships, industry visits, and live projects. Our alumni frequently return as hiring managers, while corporate leaders contribute as speakers and learners, enriching the ecosystem. The placement season for 2024–25 began on a challenging yet encouraging note, witnessing a 44% rise in students opting for campus placements. 99.17% placement was achieved through on-campus opportunities. Over 130 reputed organisations from 23 sectors participated, including international recruiters from the GCC region. The average annual package stood at 9.25 LPA, with the highest ₹ domestic package reaching 27.97 LPA from last year’s 25.09 LPA. Several MBA ₹ programmes — including APM, REUIM, M. Plan, SEM, and ENS — recorded 100% placements, while the one-year PGD QSCM batch also achieved 100% placement.

Notably, seven students, as against two students last year, received domestic offers of above 20 LPA, a testament to growing industry confidence in NICMAR talent. NICMAR ₹ University, Pune, also successfully hosted the first-ever HR Summit 2025, which brought together thought leaders from construction, real estate, infrastructure, manufacturing, and IT/ITES. Insightful keynote addresses by Dr C. Jayakumar of L&T and Mr Sahil Nayar of KPMG set the tone for engaging panel discussions on topics like multigenerational workforces, academia-industry synergy, AI in the workplace, and future-ready skills.

The Industry Talk series, featuring nine impactful sessions, connected students with accomplished professionals and helped bridge the gap between academic learning and realworld expectations. NICMAR Global Alumni Meet – Aspire 2.0, a meaningful event that reinforced alumni engagement, encouraged knowledge sharing, and brought valuable insights to the fore, was celebrated at the university campus. This year, a data-driven approach to student development using assessments to design focused training interventions, especially for interview readiness and skill enhancement, was adopted.

I express my sincere gratitude to our senior leadership, faculty, industry collaborators, students, and our ever-supportive alumni. Your dedication continues to shape the future of NICMAR University, Pune. We remain committed to excellence and to the legacy NICMARians proudly uphold.
