Mr. Ajit Gulabchand is the Chairman of the Board of Hindustan Construction Company Ltd (HCC). He served as Chairman & Managing Director of HCC for the past four decades till 2023. During this tenure, he transformed the company from a construction major into a diversified infrastructure group of a global scale, developing and building responsible infrastructure through the next practices. With a group turnover of over Rs. 10,670 Cr (US$ 1.415 billion), HCC’s businesses span across engineering & construction and infrastructure.

Mr. Gulabchand hails from a family of nation builders who has made a significant contribution to the development of modern India. A graduate of Mumbai University, Mr. Gulabchand previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Indian Hume Pipe Co. and Managing Director of Ravalgaon Sugar Farm. He became Managing Director of HCC in 1983 and Chairman in 1994.

Under Mr. Gulabchand’s leadership, HCC continues the illustrious tradition set by his predecessors. The group has a knowledge asset of more than 1,700 officers, including around 1,100 engineers. In addition, it employs about 13,000 workers at its project sites across India. Social and Environmental Responsibility

Corporate social responsibility is intrinsic to Mr. Gulabchand’s vision for the HCC group. Its initiatives encompass Disaster Relief, Water Sustainability, Education, Health and Community Initiatives.

Disaster Relief forms a significant area of focus at HCC. Mr. Gulabchand has been the Chair of the Disaster Resource Partnership Steering Board in 2015 and 2016, started as a partnership between the World Economic Forum’s Infrastructure and Urban Development Community, Humanitarian agencies and Civil Society. He is also the founder and Chairman of Disaster Resource Network India. He has steered emergency response teams and rehabilitation to several locations struck by natural disasters. He is also a member of the Private Sector Alliance for Disaster Resilient Societies (ARISE), United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR).

To address the emerging water crisis and make water sustainability a corporate priority, Mr. Gulabchand endorsed the United Nations CEO Water Mandate. Since then, HCC has demonstrated its commitment to water conservation by implementing a series of rigorous and improved water management practices at its project sites.

Global Engagements

Mr. Gulabchand holds leadership positions in several key industry bodies.

Past Alongside his responsibilities at HCC, Mr. Gulabchand has been a vocal advocate of sustainable development and is regarded as a spokesperson for India’s infrastructure sector in global forums. A regular participant at the World Economic Forum (WEF) for over two decades, Mr. Gulabchand was the first Asian to chair the Governor’s Steering Board of the Engineering & Construction Community at the WEF in Davos, 2011. He is a signatory member of Caring for Climate, United Nation’s action platform for business and a signatory member of WEF’s CEO Climate Leaders. He has also been a frequent invitee to ministerial business delegations from the Government of India to various countries aimed at attracting foreign investments into the Indian infrastructure sector.

Mr. Gulabchand is a strong supporter and patron of several technical institutions in India. He is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Board of Governors of the National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR) and Chairman of the Administrative Council of the Walchand College of Engineering.

Dr. Anil Kashyap is the first President and Chancellor of NICMAR University Pune and Hyderabad. He has 30 years of experience in practice, academia and research – both in India and abroad. In his leadership roles, Dr. Kashyap has been Head of UWE Bristol School of Geography and Environmental Management, Deputy Head of Coventry University School of Energy, Environment and Construction, and Founding Professor and Director of RICS School of Real Estate before joining NICMAR as the Director General in September 2021.

His expertise includes Infrastructure development and finance, Urban Regeneration, and Real Estate Research. Dr. Kashyap holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with distinction from NIT Kurukshetra, Masters in Urban Planning from School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi and a Ph.D. from University of Ulster, United Kingdom. Dr. Kashyap is an Alumnus of Harvard University with training in Higher Education Leadership and Change Management. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy of the United Kingdom.

Dr. Kashyap always had a passion for academia from early career days and was awarded the Ulster University Fellowship for his PhD. He has extensive experience of innovative curriculum design. Dr. Kashyap has published over 100 papers in peer reviewed journals, international and national conferences till date. He has supervised 5 PhDs and has been examiner for PhD students in India and the United Kingdom. He has also served as examiner for PhD students in India and abroad. Dr. Kashyap has undertaken research funded by research councils, charities and international institutions. Dr. Kashyap has been Chartered Member of RICS, Chartered Member of Royal Town Planning Institute London, Fellow of Higher Education Academy, United Kingdom and Fellow of Institute of Town Planners, India.

Mr. Shapoor Pallonji Mistry, is the Chairman of the multi-billion dollar Shapoorji Pallonji Group, a-157-year-old diversified business conglomerate with business interests in Construction, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Water, Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy. The group has a presence in more than 50 countries.

The flagship company of the group, Shapoorji Pallonji Company Private Limited (SPCPL), is the name behind some of the most iconic buildings and structures that dot the architectural and industrial landscape of India as well as several overseas countries.

Mr. Shapoor Mistry spearheaded the group’s re-entry into the real estate business in 1992 and, in just over a decade, has transformed it into a multi city, diversified asset class business with over 100 million square feet of developable real estate space. Mr. Shapoor Mistry is a noted philanthropist and has been associated with a number of charities concerning Health care (Trustee of the Masina Hospital, Dadysett Charity Trust) and Education (member of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards World Fellowship, U.K).

His son, Pallon Mistry, plays an active role in the management of the SP Group, and his daughter Tanya Mistry, spearheads the Group’s charitable and community outreach initiatives.

Since 2013, Mr. Shapoor Mistry has been serving as a member of the NICMAR Board of Trustees and Board of Governors.

Dr. Mundhra started his construction career at the age of 19 at various construction sites of Simplex. He was inducted in the Board of Simplex in 1969 and became Managing Director in 1987. Under his long leadership of over 50 years, Simplex today is one of the leading infrastructure companies in India having successful executed more than 3000 projects.

Dr. Mundhra has a professional association with some notable institutions such as Honarary Life Fellow of Instituion of Engineers (India); Fellow Member of The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, UK; The Indian Concrete Institute; Member of Board of Governors of Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) and also member of Builders Association of India (BAI). Dr. Mundhra had also been selected as the First and Founding Chairman of United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).

Besides Engineering & Construction, Dr. Mundhra's deep understanding of the Indian culture has prompted him to be associated with various social & cultural associations as well as academic institutions, such as President of 'Bharatiya Samskriti Samsad & Nagarik Swasthya Sangh', Kolkata; Principal Trustee in Bharatiya Vidya Mandir; Trustee of Pt. Jasraj Music Academy and several other associations. Dr. B. D. Mundhra, a philanthropist, is actively involved with various welfare activities and will always remain a source of inspiration for the coming generations.

Dr. V.N. Gupchup is an eminent academician, and has been active in the field of Technical Education for over fifty years. He has provided significant leadership in the education sector in the State of Maharashtra. He was Pro-Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, and the Director of VJTI, Mumbai.

Dr. Gupchup also served as Chairman of the National Board of Accreditation set up by the Central Government and Chairman Western Regional Committee, of the All India Council for Technical Education. He is a renowned structural engineer. He is also a member of Governing bodies of DR. BATU, NICMAR, VIT Mumbai, Walchand College etc.

Mr. Abhijit Rajan was appointed as the Managing Director of Gammon India in 1991. He took over as the Chairman of the Company in 1996 and since then has been the Chairman and Managing Director of the Company. The Gammon Group of companies, HQ Mumbai, have a large presence in construction, infrastructure, power & realty in 19 countries since a 100 years.

Rajan has over 30 years of experience in strategic planning and management in the construction industry. As an industrialist, he has built his reputation on the basis of good stewardship of the Gammon Group. Under his leadership and guidance, the Company has taken great strides in terms of turnover, profits and performance. Ms. Shalaka Gulabchand Dhawan is Management Advisor to HCC Limited with over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. Being a part of the promoter family of the HCC Group, she has endeavored to understand business deeply and also serves as Director on various Boards of HCC Group Companies.

Ms. Gulabchand Dhawan began her career with HCC in 2000, and has since been associated with various functions of the company, including Group Strategy and major initiatives. In her capacity as Vice President, Business Development since 2006 and subsequently as a Director on HCC's board in 2015, she has made significant contributions to the growth and expansion of the group. Mr. Jayanta Basu assumed the position of Managing Director of ITD Cementation India Ltd on 23rd April, 2019. A graduate in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science and Technology (formerly Bengal Engineering College), Calcutta University, he has over 36 years of hands on experience in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, and Contracts Management of Heavy Civil Engineering Projects. He started his career with the company as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in 1986 and rose through the ranks to take over the mantle of Chief Operating Officer of ITD Cementation in 2017.

Being among the few domain experts in the area of Engineering and Construction of Marine Structures in India, Mr. Basu has been instrumental in the creation and growth of this vertical in the company. His core competencies are in the areas of Project Management, Contracts Management, Advancement of Tendering, Estimation models on assigned benchmarks, and Business Development. He has a proven track record as an operation strategist to meet growth objectives and leading multiple improvement initiatives within the company by way of providing strategic direction, diverse perspectives, and positive leadership.

Mr. Basu successfully contributed and also led the company to its growth trajectory. He is also a National Council member on the Construction Federation of India (CFI) for the year 2021-2023, which is an apex representative body of the leading infrastructure construction firms of the country. He is also a member of NICMAR Board of Governors.

Mr. Reddy was conferred with the “Engineer of the year – 2005” award by Institution of Engineers (India). He is also one of the Governing Body Members Construction Federation of India (CFI).

Mr. Reddy is committed to encouraging entrepreneurship among young minds of India by mentoring and supporting them financially in their business endeavors. He was elected to Rajya Sabha (the upper house of the Parliament of India) from Andhra Pradesh in 2020.

Mr. K. C. Jhanwar is a Chartered Accountant, and has been with the Aditya Birla Group since 1981.

In a career spanning 42 years with the group, Mr. Jhanwar has worked across finance, operations, and general management roles in the cement and chemical sectors. He has been a capable team builder and is known for his strong people skills.

Amitabh Mundhra is the Director of Simplex Infrastructures, where he is responsible for leading the operations. His responsibilities include project implementation, monitoring project progress and realization of company’s vision and mission. Amitabh holds a B.Sc. Engineering Degree from Kolkata University. Amitabh is registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).

Dr. Ganapati D. Yadav is one of the topmost, highly prolific, and accomplished engineering-scientists in India. He is the National Science Chair of Govt. of India, which is a very prestigious national honour. He is Emeritus Professor of Eminence and is the former Vice Chancellor of the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. He is internationally recognized with over 125 prestigious and rare awards as an academician, researcher and innovator, including his seminal contributions to education, research and innovation in Green Chemistry and Engineering, Catalysis, Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, and Development of Clean and Green Technologies.

Dr. Yadav's patented work on the net zero goal, green hydrogen production technology, carbon dioxide refineries and valorization of (waste) biomass and waste plastics is internationally acclaimed. He serves as the Adjunct Professor at University of Saskatchewan, Canada; Conjoint Professor, University of New Castle, Australia; Distinguished Adjunct Professor, IIT Guwahati and SOA University Bhubaneswar. He was conferred Padma Shri by the President of India in 2016 for his outstanding contributions to Science and Engineering. He has also been recipient of two honorary doctorates and has addressed 6 convocations of renowned universities. He is elected to the fellowship of all Science and Engineering academies in India, TWAS, RSC (UK), IChemE (UK) among others. He was elected for two prestigious foreign academies: US National Academy of Engineering (which comprises only 23 living Indians), and as a Fellow of US National Academy of Inventors in 2022 (as the second Indian to be so honoured).

Dr. Yadav has been involved with many prestigious policy making committees of the Central government and has been a consultant to industries and industry associations. His research productivity is phenomenal with supervision of 107 Doctoral and 140 Masters' theses, which is a record for any Engineering Professor in India. Furthermore, he has supervised 48 post-doctoral fellows, several summer fellows, and research staff. He has published 515 original research papers, acquired 120 granted national and PCT patents, 8 new patent applications, written 3 books, h-index of 66, i10 index of 336, and 16,500+ citations. He is on the board of 6 listed companies as an independent director. He is also on the editorial boards of international journals of ACS, RSC, and Elsevier. Currently, he is the President of the Indian Chemical Society and the Maharashtra Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Gupchup obtained his Bachelor of Engineering degree in civil engineering from VTJI, University of Bombay in 1958 and Master of Science and Doctor of Science degrees in civil engineering in 1959 and 1963 respectively, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US.

Dr. Gupchup was a professor at the Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (formerly known as Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute) in Mumbai. He held the post of the Principal of VJTI from January 1983 to June 1992 and May 1995 to January 1997, post which, he retired after spending nearly three decades in the field of Technical Education. Dr. Gupchup was the Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Mumbai from June 1992 to May 1995. He was also the Chairman of the 'National Board of Accreditation' set up by the All India Council for Technical Education in India from July 2000 till June 2003.

Dr. Gupchup has been active in the field of Technical Education for over 35 years, and has provided leadership in this field in the State of Maharashtra. He has contributed to various aspects of the development of Technical Education at a national level through his association with the All India Council for Technical education and the University Grants Commission. He has authored numerous technical papers, and has also presented invited lectures at several universities in the US, including Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT), Northwestern University, Drexel University, Kansas State University, Texas State University, And Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville.

From 2014 until 30th June 2022, Mr. Subodh C. Dixit headed the Engineering & Construction division of Shapoorji Pallonji & Company Private Limited (apart from being Executive Director on its board). During this period, he oversaw the day-to-day management of the organization, including business development and strategic planning, encompassing all projects across Commercial, Institutional, Residential, Airports, Healthcare, and Sports. The organization is a pioneer in bringing top-down construction methodology to India, and has undertaken several initiatives to integrate technology in construction - viz. 3-D BIM Modelling, digital tools to track labour attendance and productivity, as well as robotics. Mr. Dixit continues to be associated with the SP Group as a board member.

Mr. Santosh Rai is the Operations Director and Chief Business Officer (CBO) at HCC Ltd. He has over 21 years of experience in the construction sector, with a core focus on business development, construction management, planning, and execution of infrastructure projects. He is a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kuvempu University, Karnataka. In addition, he holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Advance Construction Management from the National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR), Pune.

Mr. Chavan has been in the education sector for the last 25 years, and is currently serving as a board member of renowned engineering colleges and skilling organisations. He is regional president of Mumbai region of Association of Managements of Engineering Colleges. He served as group COO and CEO of large educational organisations in Mumbai, Pune and in parts of Maharashtra. He also contributed to the Healthcare industry by turning around teaching hospitals. He is known for his expertise in governance and sustainability of educational institutions.

Dr. Metri is currently the Director of IIM Nagpur. Prior to that he was the Director of IIM Tiruchirappalli. He is serving on various committees of Higher Education in India.

Mr. M V Satish, shortly called MVS, is a Whole-time Director and Senior Executive Vice President (Buildings), Larsen & Toubro. He is responsible for the Buildings & Factories (B&F) business vertical within L&T Construction.

Having started his career in L&T as Junior Engineer, with a degree in Civil engineering from Bangalore University, Mr. Satish has completed a Senior Executive Program from London Business School. He has held various portfolios like the Regional Project Manager – Bengaluru, Chief Executive – L&T Oman LLC, Head – Commercial Buildings & Airports SBG, and Head – Buildings & Factories IC.

Mr. Satish's experience is rich and varied, courtesy his work across domains like Construction, Business Development, Contracts Management, and Property Development. With passion backed by talent, he has steadily risen the ranks, and under his watch, he has led several landmark projects to successful completion including the Chhatrapati Shivaji international Airport Mumbai, IGI Airport New Delhi, Mumbai Wankhede Stadium, and the Mahatma Mandir, among others. He has spearheaded the growth strategy for the Commercial and Residential Buildings Businesses, and has been instrumental in bagging several mega orders to build IT parks, multi-specialty hospitals, high-rise residential projects, and successfully executed the world’s tallest statue – The Statue of Unity at 182m of height in the state of Gujarat in a record 33 months. Under his leadership, B&F constructed the world's largest cricket stadium in Gujarat with 1.3 lac seats, and the world's largest fully seated hockey stadium in Odisha with over 20,000 seats.

Mr. Satish has played a vital role in establishing L&T’s credentials in the GCC region, especially Oman, having served as Chief Executive of L&T Oman LLC. He is credited for having successfully executed the Bait Al Barakah Royal Palace @ Muscat, Duqm Airport @ Oman, Salalah Greenfield Airport project, and the NMC Hospital in Abu Dhabi. Under his leadership, B&F has executed a world class FIFA stadium, the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium at Al Rayyan, Qatar. This is one of the stadiums which was used for FIFA 2022, and has over 40,000 seats.

Mr. Satish drives L&T’s expertise of ‘Design and Build’ construction solutions on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) turnkey basis, and is a pioneer in adopting latest construction technologies. Under his leadership, B&F IC created the first ever G+1 building using 3D printing with reinforcement and using local materials at Kanchipuram. He has created the B&F fast business, which aims to radically change the way we construct buildings. This business has constructed a complex for a prestigious client in a record 45 days.

A firm believer in safety, Mr. Satish spearheads the implementation of the latest construction practices at project sites across India and GCC, and as the organization embraces digitalization in its myriad manifestations, Mr. Satish is leading the charge by driving greater espousal of digitalization across his various spheres of operation with extremely encouraging results.

 Prof. Raosaheb K. Kale is a renowned educationist who served as the Founding Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the Central University of Gujarat (CUG). With 40 years at Jawaharlal Lal Nehru University (JNU), he taught at the School of Life Sciences  and made significant contributions in the areas of Cancer and Radiation Research. Alongside, Prof. Kale also served in various capacities such as the Dean, School of Life Sciences, Chief Proctor and Dean of Students. In addition, he has served as Member/Chairperson of the Committees of the statutory bodies of the Central Government.

Prof. Uday N. Gaitonde retired from IIT Bombay where he was on the faculty of Mechanical Engineering for about 40 years.  His contributions include teaching (thermal engineering), and research and consultancy (power plants, numerical schemes).  He has been honoured as a professor emeritus by IIT Bombay in 2022.  Professor Gaitonde received his BTech and PhD degrees from IIT Bombay in 1973 and 1977.

Retired professor of IIM Ahmedabad. Currently the distinguished professor at Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information & Technology. Taught and visited at universities in US, Canada, Sweden, UK and Singapore.

Dr. Tapash Kumar Ganguli is the Senior Professor and Dean of School of Executive Education at NICMAR University. Dr. Ganguli’s areas of expertise include Project Management, Materials & Logistics Management, Contract and Project Procurement and Business Planning and Strategy. He has 20 years of industrial experience in national and international projects. He has 23 years of academic experience in teaching, training, research and consultancy. He is a Board Member of Academic Advisory Group of Project Management Institute, India. He is the recipient of PMI South Asia “Distinguish Scholar Award 2021”.

Dr. Koner is a Senior Professor and Dean-Admissions, Placement & Industry Relations, at National Institute of Construction Management and Research, Pune; 28 years’ experience in research and teaching; Ph.D. in Economics (Jadavpur University, Kolkata), UGC-NET (Economics; Dec. 1999), M.A. in Economics with specializations of Econometrics & Statistics, MBA (Finance); author/co-author / editor of 34 books; published 74 research papers in Journals/edited volumes, presented 89 research papers in conferences in India and abroad; registered 29 cases / technical notes; reviewed more than 250 research papers; completed several research projects and received NICMAR ‘Excellence in Research Award 2019 & 2018.

Dr. J. C. Edison is Professor of Economics and Dean at NICMAR Business School and Member, Board of Management and Academic Council of NICMAR University. His academic experience spans over 3 decades. He has developed many PG Programs of NICMAR in full-time, part-me and distance modes. He has ranked Indian Construction, Construction Equipment and Material Manufacturing Companies from 2001 onwards for which the Construction World Magazine was giving awards for the top companies from the list. As resource person for Infrastructure Awards, he has developed methodology for ranking construction projects, and the awards for best projects were given by CNBC TV (Channel E18) in 2008 and 2009. He has authored 3 books and several research papers, one of them, Infrastructure Development and Construction Management, is published by Taylor & Francis - London & New York. He is a member of the panel of consultants of Asian Development Bank, Manila.

Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Goyal graduated in Civil Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra (earlier RECK) in year 1998 and PhD in Civil Engineering from IIT Roorkee in year 2007. Dr. Goyal is Gold Medalist in M.Tech. (Structures) from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.

His main area of research is High rise construction, construction management, new construction material and wind/Tornado effects on structures. He did research in Germany, Japan and Czech Republic as Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) under prestigious DAAD fellowship of Germany, MEXT Fellowship of Japan and Academy of Sciences fellowship of Czech Republic. Presently he is a collaborative researcher at Wind Engineering Research Centre, Tokyo Polytechnic University, Japan. He is also a visiting faculty of Selinus University, Italy.

Dr. Goyal is having long experience in academics, research and administration at National and International Institutes & Universities. He has travelled widely across many countries for various research and academic activities. Dr. Rahul Deshpande graduated with Bachelors in Civil Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT Nagpur) and earned his Masters and Ph.D. degree in Transportation Engineering from University of Massachusetts, Lowell USA. He has taught courses at undergraduate as well as postgraduate level at UMass Lowell as an adjunct faculty. His areas of research interest are traffic engineering, transportation planning, urban mobility, project management and infrastructure development. 

His vital contribution towards the Quality Council of India project of developing an Indian Infrastructure Book of Knowledge (InBoK) is widely acknowledged. His industry experience as Engineer-Projects at HPCL Mumbai Refinery precedes his illustrious academic career with several national and international publications. He is currently serving as the Dean of School of Planning, Real Estate and Infrastructure at NICMAR University, Pune.

Dr. Prashant Dave is a highly self-driven and successful HigherEd Administrator with almost two decades of experience driving successful university administration and governance. He possesses relevant knowledge and experience that allows him to contribute towards furthering the success of the university.

His expertise lies in driving university development efforts based on sound business principles, staff development, and leadership to expand and achieve organizational goals. Through his experience, he has become adept at overseeing a wide variety of operational and regulatory responsibilities to ensure optimal performance and enhancements.

Dr. Dave’s additional success in managing and mentoring teams positions him to make a significant contribution to our university. He is hands-on with respect to drafting policies and standard operating procedures that govern universities. He has vast experience liaising with various statutory and regulatory bodies such as UGC, AICTE, BCI, PCI, CoA, etc. along with rating, ranking, and accrediting agencies such as AACSB, QS, NAAC, NIRF, and web/print media surveys.

Dr. Dave is an expert in conceptualizing strategic initiatives to propel the achievement of university goals, streamline operations, and maximize staff performance, directing human resources, performance management, budget administration, and staff mentoring and leadership. His ability to bring about consistent improvements in organizational profitability, efficiency, and performance through effective problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal abilities makes him an ideal Registrar serving NICMAR University to the best of his abilities with outstanding management style and commitment to unparalleled student and staff service.

Dr. Dave holds a PhD in Computer Application and is a strong proponent of strengthening university governance using technology-embedded systems and processes.

Dr. Kulkarni has completed her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (2003), M.E. in Construction Management (1993), from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, India, and B.E. in Civil Engineering (1987), from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, India.

She has been holding the post of Principal/Director for more than 16 years. She has transformed an affiliated Engineering college into an Autonomous Institute with excellent credentials. Institute has NAAC “A+” grade, and all its eligible programs {more than 60%} are accredited & re-accredited by NBA. She has successfully handled the World Bank-funded Technical Education Quality Improvement program (TEQIP I & II) with a funding of Rs. 15 crores.

Dr. Kulkarni has 35 years of teaching & research experience in the Civil Engineering program. Her areas of interest are Concrete Technology, TQM, Quality Circles, Construction Management, Watershed Management, Outcome Based Education, and Women Empowerment.

Dr. Kulkarni has contributed to more than 144 research papers and has two patents provisionally registered. She has delivered more than 120 expert talks on diverse topics in India and outside India. Also, she worked as a panelist in workshops and webinars organized by IUCEE, IFEES, GEDC, etc at national and international levels. Under her guidance, 5 students have completed their Ph.D. and 7 are pursuing it. She has also guided more than 70 UG & PG students in their research projects.

Dr. Jolly Cyril Edison is Professor of Economics and Dean of NICMAR Business School and Member, Board of Management and Academic Council of NICMAR University. His academic experience spans over 3 decades. He has developed many PG Programs of NICMAR in full-time, part-me and distance modes. He has ranked Indian Construction, Construction Equipment and Material Manufacturing Companies from 2001 onwards for which the Construction World Magazine was giving awards for the top companies from the list.

As resource person for Infrastructure Awards, he has developed methodology for ranking construction projects, and the awards for best projects were given by CNBC TV (Channel E18) in 2008 and 2009. He has authored 3 books and several research papers, one of them, Infrastructure Development and Construction Management, is published by Taylor & Francis - London & New York. He is a member of the panel of consultants of Asian Development Bank, Manila.

Dr. Anil Agarwal is currently working as a Professor and Dean of Academics, at NICMAR University Pune. He has been working with NICMAR since 1999 and has twice been awarded the NICMAR ‘Teaching Excellence. He was instrumental in the institute development and played a key role in the formation of NICMAR University. He has designed, developed, and conducted Management Development Programs for construction corporations in the Construction Quality Management, and Project Management areas.

He is an active member of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for Construction Management Sectional Committee CED-29 for framing and updating IS codes, he is a member of BoS of a number of institutes. He has completed several sponsored research works and has published more than 50 papers/cases at National/ International conferences, seminars, journals and magazines.

Dr. Phadtare is Senior Professor at National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR), Pune. He has over 37 years of experience with 15 years in industry and 22 years in academics. He served as Dean of School of General Management for three years as well as Dean of Post Graduate Programs for five years and is currently Interim Dean for School of Project Management. He is also a three-time recipient of ‘Excellence in Teaching Award’ at NICMAR. He worked for Ingersoll Rand India Limited, a blue chip company and part of Ingersoll Rand Company USA for fifteen years prior to taking up teaching.

Dr. Phadtare has served as ONGC Chair Professor for Strategic Management and Area Chair of Marketing at the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad and is currently involved in Post Graduate Teaching, Management Development Programs and Consulting. He has successfully guided 6 doctoral students for their PhD Programs, written three books – 2 published by PHI and one book on Project Marketing published by T and F and written 22 papers in reputed national and International journals that include ‘C’, ‘A’ and ‘A*’ journals as per ABDC classification. His interest areas are Marketing, Project Marketing, Strategic Management, Project Risk Management and Contracts Management.

Prof. Amit Goel has over 20 years of experience in academics and industry. He has served as a faculty and at various administrative levels in top Universities including BITS PILANI and IIT Gandhinagar. He had been a visiting scientist at the Federal NDT lab. of Germany at BAM Berlin. He was a recipient of NTU-India Connect programme and a visiting faculty at NTU Singapore. He obtained his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Civil Engineering from Punjab Engineering College, Deemed University Chandigarh, and Ph.D. degree (fulltime) in Civil Engineering from IIT Kanpur, (both of which are top ranked centrally funded institutes- CFIs). He was a recipient of “Best B.E. Project” award. He was also a recipient of GATE: MHRD-GoI scholarship and Ph.D. MHRD-GoI fellowship during post-graduate studies. His research interests are in the area of Road Asset Management Systems including the development of robotic structural condition evaluation systems.

Prof. Goel has been involved in many sponsored research and consultancy projects from Government and private sectors. He has published numerous papers in reputed international journals and conferences, and is also a reviewer of reputed journals. He has given technical presentations at international conferences held in the USA, Germany, Singapore and India. He has been an invited speaker in various institutional events and chaired conference sessions. He was the mentor and part of the National winning team in BIM-Design competition and represented India at Autodesk University Conference, USA, 2013. Dr. Shobha Ramalingam graduated in Architecture from NIT Tiruchirappalli (formerly RECT) and subsequently earned an M.Tech in Building Technology and Construction Management and a Ph.D in Construction Management from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Dr. Ramalingam’s broad areas of research include: Sustainable Construction, Energy Efficient Buildings, Lean Construction, Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Project Management. Dr. Ramalingam is currently serving as Associate Professor and Dean – School of Energy and Environment at NICMAR University, Pune

Prashant Das, PhD is an associate professor of real estate in the finance & accounting area of IIM Ahmedabad. Beyond producing rigorous academic research published in leading global outlets, he is actively engaged with industry through advisory and consulting engagements. Earlier, he served in senior academic roles in Switzerland; and has worked in corporate roles in India and the US. He earned his PhD, Masters' and bachelors' degree from Georgia State University -Atlanta, Texas A&M University-College Station, and IIT-Roorkee respectively.

Dr. Rahul V. Ralegaonkar is a professor of civil engineering at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur with keen interest in broad areas of Sustainable Construction Engineering. He has over 20 years of professional experience including teaching, research and consultancy of civil engineering projects & is also a certified sustainability practitioner for CSR activities. Apart from 6 research awards related to sustainable product design he is a recipient of Indo-US BHAVAN Fellowship, DST, New Delhi and honorary visiting professor post at Liverpool John Moores University, UK for the track 2019-2025. He has completed 8 R & D sponsored projects and a couple are ongoing of National and International repute. He has been awarded the technology incubation support under the Affordable Sustainable Housing Accelerator Program by the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India. Seven technologies related to sustainable construction materials were granted patent, two designed software tools received copyright, over 170 publications were brought out at international and national level.

Prof. Ralegaonkar has authored two books and contributed over five chapters in international handbooks. He was Associate Dean for Training & Placement (2019-2020), Summer Internship Program Coordinator (2020-2021). Presently 9 doctoral candidates, over 60 master’s candidates and 15 graduating student groups have completed their projects under his supervision. More than 100 talks were delivered as an invited speaker on several management and engineering topics like energy management, energy economics, application of sustainable technologies in construction industry and disaster management, etc. at various national and international level interactive platforms.

As an organizing committee member including principal coordinator and secretary for workshops, training program and national conference more than 60 events were participated in by him. He has been lead editor for SCI Journals like buildings, energy, advances in civil engineering, etc. and is also actively involved with technical forums as an editorial board member and the reviewer for several journals and conferences at national and international level. He has also been awarded the Excellence in review award 2021 for the Journal Resources, Conservation & Recycling, Elsevier Journal. He is also a member of the Board of Studies for several deemed universities. Sudhirkumar Barai is a Director and Senior Professor of Civil Engineering at BITS Pilani-Pilani campus, Rajasthan. He is also a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur 721 302, India availing line for the current position.

Always first class first Gold medallist in academics, Prof. Choudhury is a worldwide renowned researcher, who carried out fundamental research works with practical applications since 2000 in the domain of Civil Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering, Foundation Engineering, Disaster Management, Computational Geomechanics. He has already supervised 34 PhD theses and published over 300 technical papers including above 180 in peer reviewed reputed journals. A recipient of several prestigious national and international fellowships and awards, Prof. Choudhury also received both best teacher and best researcher awards from IIT Bombay and many organizations worldwide.
