The PG Diploma in Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) Management is a one-year, full-time programme designed to develop technically competent professionals for the ready-mix concrete and allied construction sectors. The curriculum integrates concrete technology, RMC plant systems, quality and safety, production planning, cost awareness, sustainability, and IT applications, supported by project work and a credit-based internship. The programme is designed to bridge engineering fundamentals with plant-level execution and industry expectations.
Through the PG Diploma in Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) Management, you will:
The PG Diploma in Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) Management integrates concrete technology, material behaviour, RMC plant operations, quality and safety systems, production planning, cost awareness, and sustainability practices. The programme emphasises hands-on learning, practical mix design and testing, exposure to RMC plant operations, and industry-linked project work and internship, enabling participants to transition effectively into RMC production and operations roles.
The programme is structured over two semesters, comprising
classroom instruction, laboratory exposure, project work, and a credit-based
industry internship.
Duration: One Year (Full Time)
The PG Diploma in Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) Management attracts a focused cohort of Civil and Mechanical Engineering graduates along with early-career professionals who aspire to build careers in RMC plant operations, concrete technology, and quality systems.
The typical age range of participants is 21–24 years, representing a balanced mix of fresh graduates and working professionals. This diversity enables meaningful peer learning through practical discussions, shared industry perspectives, and case-based classroom interactions.

Dr. Mohammed Rihan Maaze is an Assistant Professor at School of Engineering, NICMAR University, Pune, and serves as the Programme Coordinator for the PG Diploma in Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) Management. He holds an M.Tech in Structural Engineering with a Gold Medal and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering. His teaching focuses on Design of Reinforced Concrete Structures and Structural Mechanics, with strong emphasis on fundamentals, structural behaviour, and code-based design practice. His research interests lie in concrete technology and sustainable construction materials, particularly low-carbon binders and waste-based concrete systems. He is a recipient of the Swachh Sarthi Fellowship, recognising his contributions to sustainability-oriented research. In his administrative role, he coordinates programme implementation, industry-linked internships, and academic mentoring.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university/institution, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category candidates, as per prevailing norms). Final-year students may also apply subject to completion before programme commencement.
Admission to the PG Diploma in Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) Management is merit-based and conducted through a structured multi-stage process in line with NICMAR’s postgraduate diploma admission framework
1. NICMAR Common Admission Test (NCAT)
Applicants are required to appear for the NICMAR Common Admission Test (NCAT). NCAT evaluates candidates on;
Performance in NCAT forms a key component of the shortlisting process.
2. Academic Performance
Candidates are assessed based on their undergraduate academic record, with due consideration given to consistency, subject relevance, and overall performance in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
3. Personal Interview (PI)
Shortlisted candidates are invited for a Personal Interview (PI), which assesses:
Interviews may be conducted in person or online, as applicable.
4. Rating of Application (RA)
A holistic Rating of Application (RA) is carried out by the admissions committee, considering NCAT score, academic background, interview performance, and overall profile. Relevant industry exposure, if any, may be considered as an added advantage.
Final Selection
Final admission offers are made based on the overall merit ranking derived from the combined evaluation of NCAT, academic performance, personal interview, and application rating. Meeting eligibility criteria alone does not guarantee admission.
Graduates can pursue roles such as:
| RMC Plant / Production Engineer | Quality Control & Assurance Engineer |
